Thrifty Generous

Yesterday was my boss's birthday. Months back, I would assume he'd throw an extravagant fine-dining-wine-flowing dinner for a small group of his close friends for his birthday. But again, I was wrong. Never assume.

My boss is most kind-hearted wealthy person I know. He didn't want any parties for himself. As an annual practice, what he wanted was to visit three charity homes, have a few minutes with the kids and make them smile with small gifts and Jollibee. And donated cash for the respective managements of the charity homes. He is anti-publicity so he wanted absolutely no media people.

You can just imagine how big of a heart he has; he is unlike other wealthy people / politicians who would do the same for the sake of publicity. Despite three days of being sleep deprived preparing and shopping for school supplies (for the kids), the goodness in me is triggered and fuels the drive. It makes me look back on possibly the only generous thing I've done so far...
